Security
(Psa 91:1 KJV) He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Time after time we read in the Scriptures how the Lord himself delivered those who belonged to Him from death and destruction.
(Prov 21:31 KJV) The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.
We can and should employ methods that guard our security, but the promises of the Lord are what we should first and foremost put our trust in.
(1 Ki 8:56 KJV) Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.
When the people of Israel were disobedient, the consequence of their sin removed the covering of the Lord's presence and protection from them. Obedience to the known will of God is the key to abiding under the shadow of the Almighty.
Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and He will speak regarding what steps you should take for the security of yourself and those you love. There are many obvious precautions that need to be taken every day, some are compulsory such as wearing a seat belt when in a motorized vehicle. Security measures when flying are now strict and vigorously enforced, as a precaution, against of those who wish to harm us.
(Luke 11:21-22 KJV) When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.
An alarm system in a home or business warns when there is an intruder. If such a device fails the intruder will take advantage of that failure. Therefore to be forewarned is to be forearmed. When the security of a country is compromised its people are vulnerable to those who seek to overthrow it. Weakness is taken advantage of by those who care not for the welfare of their victims.
Personal security is now rapidly becoming a necessity as violence and crime are an everyday occurrence. Being watchful is a must at all times, however the Lord knows those who are His.
(Psa 91:5 KJV) Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Be careful not to be distracted by the terrors that are reported daily in the news, locally, nationally and internationally. The internet is infested with deception and fraud. Security measures are in place to track and control such behavior but it is flawed. In monitoring the web traffic we too are being monitored. Social Web sites contain information that in the wrong hands can become tools for blackmail both private and public.
The storing of personal information is to climax in the number and mark system.
(Rev 13:16-17 KJV) And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
What does it all mean? Make your peace with your Maker, then you will be eligble for His protection and provision.
Remember the words of Christ when He spoke of the signs of the last days!
(Mat 24:34 KJV) Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
We are the generation of which He spoke, act now before its too late
(Psa 91:14-16 KJV) Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation.
