(Hab 2:2-3 KJV) And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Semantics according to the Merriam Webster dictionary is the study in the meaning of words and phrases in language, or the meaning of words and phrases in a particular context. Language is a system of words that we use when we speak to others to express our thoughts and feelings. In order for our communication with others to be effective they must be able to understand the meaning of the words used whether they be written or spoken. The Bible is a book of sacred writings comprising the Old and New Testaments. The Christian belief is that the Bible is the Word of God. This is as a result of the words used that have been interpreted based on the understanding and meaning of the words themselves. In the book of Isaiah chapter fifty five verse eleven we read, "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but will accomplish that which I please , and it shall prosper in the thing wherein I sent it." The words are used to express to Isaiah God's will and intention.
